Katie is an approved writer and supplier to Mencap, collaborating on a number of different Easy Read projects with them.
Essex Coalition of Disabled People (ECDP) Impact Report 2008/09
We were commissioned to project manage the design and production of ECDP's 2008/09 Impact Report. Building on the ECDP fledgling brand initiated and launched in their Strategic Plan (and also project managed by Raincharm), we engaged, fully briefed and creatively directed Manchester based design agency, Epigram Communications. The resulting publication has been hugely well received by ECDP staff, stakeholders and partners alike. Building on the accessible design established in the Strategic Plan, this latest publication consolidates and develops the brand still further whilst still leaving space for the organisation to grow in the future. We see this publication as a defining and pivotal piece of corporate branding for this leading disability organisation and look forward to continuing our highly successful working relationship in the future.

Imperial War Museum North Accessible and Easy to Read Guide
We were asked to produce a guide to the Museum using clear, easy to read language. This was aimed at a range of audiences with different information access needs. Working closely with Museum staff we reduced the core information elements about the Museum into this concise, clearly designed and Easy to Read booklet.
James Street Housing Project Harassment procedure
We were asked by Mencap to write an Easy Read guide to help residents at a housing project in Blackburn understand about their rights. We converted the text into an Easy Read format from the main harassment procedure which was then checked and amended by Mencap. Images provided courtesy of Photosymbols.
